Dr. Silvia Neri operates at the intersection of academia, curatorial practice, and cultural entrepreneurship. She builds bridges between the university and the cultural industries, translating research into projects, platforms, and institutional collaborations. PhD in Aesthetics (Université Paris 8 / Università di Padova), she is an affiliated researcher at AIAC (Paris 8), where her work focuses on expanding the relationship between critical theory and applied cultural production.
She is the founder of Neri Contemporary Art (Paris, 2014), a curatorial and production project. Her work activates transnational networks across universities and cultural institutions positioning research as a driver for cultural innovation and institutional collaboration. In 2025, her first monograph dedicated to the work of Matthew Barney, RIVER OF FUNDAMENT, is published by Mimesis Editions (ISBN 978-88-6976-449-3)
Expertise & Recognition
Over 1,100 hours of university teaching across Europe (Paris 8, Lille, Metz, ICP, Lisbon, Palma de Mallorca, Padua, Macerata). She has contributed to the design of pedagogical programs with the eight partner universities of the ERUA network (Viadrina, Las Palmas, New Bulgarian University, Vilnius Mykolas Romeris University, Macerata, SWPS). She has chaired workshops and spoken at international conferences, with more than 50 participations to date. She is a member of an international research group Beyond Humanim, contributes regularly to academic journals, and has published one monograph, with three more forthcoming by 2026.

Dr. Giorgio Cipolletta
Researcher · Artist · Educator
Dr. Giorgio Cipolletta is a researcher, educator and artist. Holding a Ph.D. in Theory of Information and Communication, his work brings together aesthetics, media theory, digital education and artistic practice, with a particular focus on the relationship between perception, image and artificial intelligence. He teaches Aesthetics and Semiotics at the University of Macerata and has lectured in multimedia languages at ISIA Design and the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata. Alongside his scholarly output (including the monograph Passages metrocorporei, ISBN 978-88-6056-388-0) he maintains an installation and performance practice that treats research as a sensory, experimental form, as in the robotic installation Cur(h)aiku (2025). He is a registered journalist and art critic.
